This page gives access to printed collections and some audio and video.
Irish Traditional is best learned through listening. The printed music is only a guide to the basic notation of the tunes and the tunes transcribed here do not convey rhythm or ornamentation. This is most apparent in the playing of Hornpipes, Barndances and Highlands as I have transcribooksed them in equal measure quavers.
The Tune Books: You will find that many of the tunes appear in different sets and books. The reason for this is the books were compiled over several years and tailored for different student classes as required. Perhaps one day I will compile the lot into one publication but in the meantime I hope you find some of interest.
